Weekend weather: Sunny spells with some rain showers

Make the most of the sunny spells

Lincolnshire may get some sunny spells over the weekend, although the rain clouds have not gone just yet.

According to the Met Office, during the evening of Friday, May 10 a few showers are likely to linger in the East Midlands with minimum temperatures of around five degrees.

There will be morning showers in the east of the region on Saturday, May 11.

Light showers could change to sunny intervals by lunchtime in areas of the county including in Lincoln, with temperatures rising up to 12 degrees celsius.

In some of the county it could be a mostly sunny day with some bright spells developing, although some cloud may bubble up and deliver a few showers.

Scattered afternoon showers are likely across the whole region with a maximum temperature of 15 degrees, but there should still be some sunny intervals.

Sunday should be dry with bright or sunny spells and light winds on what should be a pleasantly warm day across the East Midlands. Nights will be chilly with rural frost possible.
