Woman charged with attempted murder after village ‘stabbing’

A man remains stable in hospital

A 62-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder after a man was ‘stabbed’ in a Lincolnshire village.

Lincolnshire Police were called to Obthorpe Lane in Thurlby at 9.07pm on Wednesday, May 29 after a report that a man had received a stab wound.

The man was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries. He remains stable in hospital.

Susan Wheeler, of The Causeway, Thurlby, was arrested in connection with the incident and subsequently charged.

She is due to appear at court during the morning of Friday, May 31 at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court.
