A burst water pipe has flooded the first floor flats at Grantavon House in Lincoln.
Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue were called to the flats on Brayford Wharf East at 11.06am on Monday, June 24 and are currently working to pump the water from the building.

Two people were seen visibly distressed outside the building with suitcases.
Station Manager Ashley Hildred told The Lincolnite: “There has been internal flooding due to a burst water pipe. Fire crews have isolated utilities and are removing water from the first floor flats.

“The water company are on there way and a cause has not yet been established. The road will be closed for the next hour (as of around 12pm).
“The leak has been isolated. Once the water is removed it will hand over to the owners of the building, in conjunction with residents, to assess the damage.

“Fire and rescue are supporting those who are displaced. They should be able to go back inside soon. The management of the building will provide support.”
