Dramatic car chase and crash ends with machete find

The car hit a parked vehicle and a wall

A machete was discovered after a dramatic car chase in Grimsby saw a vehicle crash into a parked car and a wall.

Humberside Police arrested a 27-year-old man shortly after 7.30pm on Monday, June 3 after he ignored officers’ orders to stop his car.

The car continued onto Ariston Street before hitting the parked car and a wall. The driver got out of the car and tried to run from the scene, but was caught by officers.

The man, who remains in custody, was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop and dangerous driving.

When police checked the vehicle a machete was discovered. The man was then further arrested for possession of an offensive weapon and burglary.
