Found: Drones search for missing man in his 60s

He went missing after parking his car

Update: Lincolnshire Police confirmed the missing man has been found.


A man in his 60s went missing after leaving his car in the North Coates area in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Police are concerned for the man who went missing after parking his car on Thorseby Road in North Coates during the morning of Wednesday, June 5. Drones and air support are assisting with the search.

An appeal from Nigel Wass at Horncastle Station said: “This is an appeal for information for a male that has gone missing in the North Coates area this morning, June 5, and it explains the large emergency services presence in the area.

“Between 6.30am-7.30am this morning the male parked his green Ford Fiesta Zetec on Thorseby Road in North Coates and then left in an unknown direction. He is still thought to be in the North Coates area on foot.

“The male is white, average build, short grey hair and is around 6 foot in height.

“If you could check gardens and outbuildings in the area that would be appreciated and please report any sightings via 101 quoting incident number 48 of today (June 5).”
