A Lincoln lake is being blighted by people carelessly dumping litter and drug canisters.
A local resident, who wished not to be named, said the scenes this weekend left them very upset.
They took pictures of multiple collections of rubbish in the trees and Apex Pit lake near to Station Road in North Hykeham.

In pictures sent to The Lincolnite there even were several empty silver canisters left lying on the ground.
The canisters resemble those used to store Nitrous Oxide, otherwise known as ‘laughing gas’.
Before cleaning up the mess left in the park, the woman said that it “shows a complete lack of respect for the environment.”

The woman picked up the litter after taking these photos.
She continued: “It also poses such a danger to the wildlife as well. It is an area of natural beauty and a lovely place to visit.
“If found bottles and waste from alcohol, balloons, canisters for gas and leftover cigarette mess.

“Among the litter was an under 16 train ticket from North Hykeham to Lincoln.”
