A tractor fire on the A17 is causing delays on Thursday afternoon.
According to AA Traffic it was reported that it caught fire on the stretch of road between Newark and Leadenham at around 1.30pm on Thursday, June 6. The road is partially blocked on the A17 both ways between Stragglethorpe Lane and Woodgate Lane.
Sir William Robertson Academy posted on social media saying the A17 is closed both ways between Leadenham and Beckingham.
A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We were called at 1.50pm to the A17 at Brant Broughton, following a report of a tractor on fire. We are supporting our colleague at Fire & Rescue with this incident.”
The extent of any injuries are not yet known. Reporters contacted EMAS and Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue, but there was no response by the time of publication.

Lincolnshire Police have found the body of a missing Lincoln boy.
The force appealed at around 4pm on Sunday, April 11, to find Daniel Coupland, 16, from Lincoln, after he went missing.
At 9.30pm police said that a body has been found, which has been identified as the missing boy.
In a statement, Lincolnshire Police said: “We would like to sincerely thank the media and the public for their support with this appeal and request that the family be given time to process this devastating news without intrusion or speculation.”
