Plans for Starbucks and Greggs in Pinchbeck set for go-ahead

Councillors have been recommended to approve the plan

Plans for a new Starbucks drive-thru, Greggs and a Formula 1 Autocentre in Pinchbeck look set to be approved by South Holland District Council.

Hawkstone Properties submitted the plans for the development on land at the junction of Wardentree Lane and Wardentree Park.

The proposal looks to build five units on the site for commercial use.

As well as Starbucks, Greggs and a Formula 1 Autocentre, the plan also includes a Toolstation, a gym and 74 car parking spaces.

The development would create 32 full times jobs, according to the developer.

Councillors on South Holland District Council’s planning committee have been recommended to give the go-ahead to the plans.

Pinchbeck Parish Council have also supported the proposal.

The site is earmarked for employment use under the authority’s own local plan.

In the proposals, the developer said that the site would help to “enhance” the local area and “boost the economy”.

It said: “The proposals would assist in enhancing and complementing the surrounding area, while creating additional employment which will provide a boost to the local economy.

“The site layout and unit design allow for good use of this currently unused employment site by providing five modern and functional units for a variety of business uses.

“These will attract an array of different tenants bringing an increase in jobs and business to the area.”

The council will make a decision on the plans at a meeting on June 26.
