£1k reward for rapist on the loose for two weeks

The public are advised not to approach him

Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £1,000 to find a convicted rapist, who is still on the run two weeks after absconding from an open prison in Boston.

Stephen Tierney, 39, did not return to HMP North Sea Camp on Wednesday, July 3 and has been missing ever since.

The search continues to locate Tierney, who is described as posing a medium risk of violence. People are advised not to approach him.

Crimestoppers UK is offering reward up to £1,000 for information given exclusively to them that leads to Tierney’s arrest.

Police have released a new picture of Stephen Tierney.

Harborough Police in Leicestershire said that they worked with Lincolnshire Police on Monday afternoon and numerous addresses were visited.

Tierney, who was last seen in Boston Market Place, is described as around five foot seven inches tall and of small build with brown/ginger hair. He also has a tattoo saying “wrist” on his right arm.

Lincolnshire Police have been working with their colleagues in Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and the British Transport Police.

Any sightings or information should be reported to Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 316 of July 3, or in an emergency call 999.
