Daytime buses between Gainsborough and Lincoln to double

The additional bus services started on Monday

The number of daytime buses running between Gainsborough and Lincoln doubled from Monday.

The additional bus services from Stagecoach East Midlands started from Monday, July 29.

InterConnect 100 will continue to run every hour in both directions through Knaith Park, Kexby Corner, Willingham, Stow and Sturton.

In between these journeys Stagecoach will be introducing new direct hourly Service 107 buses running along the A156 through Knaith, Marton, Torksey, Torksey Lock and Fenton.

Both routes will combine to offer departures from Gainsborough and Lincoln up to every 30 minutes throughout the daytime, Monday to Saturday.

Gainsborough Lea Road Railway Station and Saxilby will also be served every 30 minutes in both directions.

New timetables are available here. Connections to the more frequent bus services will be available from surrounding villages, including Laughterton and Newton-on-Trent using CallConnect.

Meanwhile, additional journeys, roads no longer served on certain routes and a cut services were among changes Stagecoach made in the Lincoln area over the weekend.
