Man slashed in face during reported Lincoln robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses

A 33-year-old man was slashed in the face during an alleged robbery in Lincoln.

It is understood a man was jumped by three men.

Police said the man was pulled from his bike and sustained a slash wound to his face near the laundry bridge on Altham Terrace in Lincoln just before 6pm on July 26.

The man attended hospital for treatment, but police said it is currently unclear what caused the injury.

The man’s silver neck chain was also stolen during the incident, which is being classed as a robbery by police.

Police gave a description of one offender as six foot eight inches tall and of muscular build, wearing a khaki green t-shirt and blue shorts. No arrests have yet been made and the police investigation is ongoing.

The victim’s sister Suzanne Marie Chamberlain told The Lincolnite: “It sickens me that people out there are going around using weapons and attacking people in broad daylight for something that has no real value to anyone but the owner as his chain did!

“I’m just so relieved that my brother’s injuries were not life threatening and he will make a full physical recovery.”
