Nine weeks of overnight roadworks set near Scampton

The road will be resurfaced

Nine weeks of nighttime resurfacing works will begin on the A15 from RAF Scampton to the Cliff Road junction in September.

The works from Monday, September 2 will require a full road closure over night from 8pm to 6am on weekdays.

The signed diversion route for the closure will be via the A15 / A631 / A46, and vice versa.

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.

Lincolnshire County Councillor Richard Davies said: “As part of these works, we’ll be rebuilding a two and a half-mile stretch of the A15 between RAF Scampton and Spridlington.

“This section of road is nearing the end of its serviceable life and needs to be replaced.

“We intend to do everything we can to minimise disruption, including carrying the works out in the evening so that people using the A15 during the day aren’t affected.

“These improvements will make travelling on the A15 a safer and more comfortable journey, so we ask for your continued patience while they are carried out.”
