PC faces misconduct hearing over inappropriate comments and gestures

He allegedly breached standards of professional behaviour

A Lincolnshire Police Constable will face a misconduct hearing next week over allegations of making inappropriate comments and gestures in the workplace.

Police Constable Michael Colbourne from Lincolnshire Police is alleged to have breached standards of professional behaviour after making inappropriate comments and gestures on December 17, 2018 and January 17, 2019.

If proven, this would breach standards of professional behaviour relating to discreditable conduct, equality and diversity, and authority, respect and courtesy.

A misconduct hearing will be held in public at Lincolnshire Police HQ in Nettleham from July 31 to August 2. It will start at 9.30am.

Anyone wishing to attend must send a request to Lincolnshire Police via [email protected] by 9am on Monday, July 28. They must provide their name, address and date of birth to register their interest along with the days they wish to attend.
