Temperatures spike to 45C in Lincolnshire garden

It’s hot, hot, hot in Lincolnshire

Temperatures spiked to 45 degrees celsius in the garden of a Lincolnshire man chilling in his hot tub with ice cold beers.

Dave Newman posted a photo of his temperature gauge to Lincolnshire Reporter showing his garden in Sleaford is boiling in heat over 40 degrees.

The soaring temperatures in the county have come on what is believed to hottest day of the year so far, and possibly ever, in the UK.

Dave said: “After mowing the lawn and trimming, I currently have ice cold beers and am dipping in and out the hot tub which is set at a nice 34 degrees.”

While Dave sits back and enjoys the Lincolnshire sun his German Shepherd rescue elite dog Roxy went inside for some shade.

Other soaring hot temperatures were recorded in the county on Thursday.
