Around 1,000 fish have been found dead in a drain near Burton Waters.
The small bream, roach and pike were found at a drain near Fen Lane, Burton Waters after the incident was reported to the Environment Agency during the morning of Wednesday, July 31.
Environment Agency officers are currently at the drain working to improve the oxygen levels in the water.

The Environment Agency’s investigation into the cause is continuing.
A spokesperson for the Environment Agency said: “If anyone witnesses any fish in distress they should contact our hotline 24/7 on 0800 80 70 60.”
