Final phase of Bardney 170-homes plan approved

New homes for the Lincoln village

The final two phases of a 170-home plan for Bardney have been approved.

Chestnut Homes has been given the go-ahead for 117 new homes off Hancock Drive and Manor Farm.

They were given permission on appeal to build the 44-home start of the development in 2016.

Approving the plans, council officers said: “The detailed layout and design of the estate provides a good mix of housing designs and sizes to meet housing need within the district and a safe, healthy and attractive environment for future residents to live.

Of the new houses, 23 will be classed as affordable – with nine having already been built.

A new loop road will be created linking the scheme to the rest of the project.

Concerns were raised about the amount of parking, however, the officers considered it acceptable.
