Four Lincolnshire towns to get share of £1bn High Street funding

They’ll get up to £150k for projects

Four Lincolnshire towns are among an additional 50 to get a slice of the government’s £1 billion Future High Streets Fund.

Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Grantham and Holbeach will receive up to £150,000 to support the development of detailed project proposals. These proposals can be submitted for capital funding.

The extension to the shortlist comes on the back of the £3.6 billion Towns Fund announced in July 2019. This included an additional £325 million for the Future High Streets Fund, taking the overall Fund to £1 billion.

The scheme was launched in December 2018 as part of the Government’s plans to renew and reshape town centres and high streets.
