Happy Mondays to perform two Lincolnshire gigs

Scunthorpe and Lincoln get ready

Get ready to Step On up and party when Manchester rock band Happy Mondays perform two Lincolnshire gigs later this year as part of a marathon 28-day Greatest Hits Tour.

The classic line-up of front man Shaun Ryder, Bez, Rowetta, Gary Whelan, Paul Ryder, Mark Day and Dan Broad will perform timeless hits including Step On, Kinky Afro and Hallelujah. They will be supported by Jon Saliva.

The band formed in Salford in the 80s will perform at Scunthorpe’s Baths Hall on Saturday, November 16 (6.30pm). Click here to purchase tickets, which are priced at £37.20.

Ahead of the tour, which started on October 23 in Inverness, frontman Shaun Ryder said: “It will be great to be back out on the road with Happy Mondays for some pre-Christmas partying! Looking forward to playing all the hits and more at these shows.”

Bez added: “Really excited and looking forward to the Happy Mondays tour – can’t wait to do some freaky dancing.”

The Happy Mondays signed to Tony Wilson’s Factory Records in the late 80s as they blended their love of funk, rock, psychedelia and house with the sounds of the UK’s emerging rave scene.
