Man arrested after assault left victim with bleed on brain

The victim also suffered a fractured skull

Police investigating an assault which left a 24-year-old man in hospital with serious head injuries have made an arrest.

As previously reported, Tom Bocock was on St Peter’s Avenue in Cleethorpes just after 3am on Sunday, July 28 when he was attacked.

He was reportedly knocked unconscious and suffered a bleed to the brain, as well as a blood clot and a fractured skull.

The man from Lincolnshire was taken to hospital for treatment and police previously said his injuries were not life-threatening.

Humberside Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm in connection with the assault on Thursday, August 22.
