Man released after woman injured in violent Lincoln robbery

It happened outside a fire station in Lincoln

A 36-year-old man has been released under investigation after a woman was robbed violently outside a fire station.

As previously reported, a woman in her 30s was taken to hospital with injuries to her face, neck and back of her head when she was attacked outside Lincoln North Fire Station on Nettleham Road at 12.50am on the morning of July 11.

It is believed that a man riding a push bike and a woman were the attackers. A man, who was previously released on bail, has now been released under investigation.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “The arrested man has been released under investigation and inquiries are ongoing.”

Police previously said they were looking for a driver who may have driven by at the time of the incident.
