Murder arrest after unexplained death at Ermine home

A post mortem is being carried out

A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a man was found at a property in the Ermine area of Lincoln.

The death is being treated as unexplained and the man has been released under investigation.

Lincolnshire Police were called to an address on Escombe View in Lincoln at around 8pm on Monday, August 26, where a 26-year-old man was confirmed dead at the scene.

Police have launched an investigation into the unexplained death and are awaiting the outcome of a post mortem.

A spokesperson for police said: “One of the occupants, a man aged 26, was confirmed dead at the house.

“The death is currently unexplained and we await the outcome of a post mortem.

“One man, aged 24, was arrested and has been released under investigation.”

An eyewitness from a nearby street, who wished to remain anonymous, told The Lincolnite: “The police and ambulance turned up and Monday night and someone was arrested.

“They were here for a while and on Tuesday lunchtime they took the body away. Police were standing guard all day on Tuesday and forensics came out with stuff in bags.”
