Armed man steals vodka bottles in Ingoldmells store robbery

Staff refused his request for money

A man armed with a knife allegedly stole several bottles of vodka from a shop in Ingoldmells after staff refused his request for money.

The male suspected had a knife in his right hand and was carrying a blue carrier bag as he entered the Select Convenience Store on the High Street in Ingoldmells at around 8.55pm on Monday, September 16.

He told a member of staff to give him money, but they refused. He then took several bottles of vodka from the shelf and left the shop.

The man is described as of medium build and he had an English accent.

He was wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up, black slim fit trousers with thick grey stripes down the sides of the legs.

Police are appealing for witnesses who were in the area at the time, or anyone who may have dashcam footage before or after the incident.
