Wear it like a Lincolnite: 2019 Waterside fashion show set to turn heads

It’s all for a great local cause

Lincoln people will take to the catwalk in an exciting charity fashion show next week, featuring a hand-picked Lincolnite office collection.

Upcoming autumn/winter trends from popular brands will be in the spotlight during the show, which takes place at Waterside Shopping Centre on Wednesday, September 25.

All proceeds will go towards St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice, which provides end of life care in the county.

Included in the selection this year will be an exclusive office collection selected by The Lincolnite featuring new season showstoppers from Topshop, Topman, Next and New Look.

Lincolnite editor Daniel Ionescu and associate editor Emily Norton were invited to Waterside on Wednesday, September 18 to curate the collection.

Editor Daniel Ionescu said: “We had a lot of fun putting together a colourful office collection and can’t wait to see them modelled by Lincoln people for a fantastic local cause.

“Our picks feature 15 outfits for a range of occasions from smart daywear to evening event pieces, so hopefully there will be some inspiration for everyone.

“We wish Waterside every success with the show. Of course, we will be there cheering on the models too!”

Emily Norton added: “Mustard appeared to be the colour of the season! We found some beautiful statement pieces, bold prints and cosy autumn outerwear in a mission to splash some colour into the workplace.”

Also joining models on the catwalk will be players and staff from Lincoln City Football Club and volunteers from St Barnabas.

This year’s show will be the second organised by the shopping centre, which hopes to beat last year’s £1,000 fundraising total.

Dean Cross, General Manager at the Waterside Shopping Centre, added: “Hopefully we can build on the success of last year and raise even more money for St Barnabas this year.

“Our retailers are right behind the event, and it will be great to see them all glammed up and walking down the catwalk.

“It promises to be a great night, and we’d like to see even more people than last year come along and support St Barnabas, as they do amazing work across the county.”

The fashion show runs from 7pm until 10pm. Tickets (including fizz on arrival and a goodie bag) are £6 and are available on Eventbrite here
