Drivers injured after crashes near Spalding

The two collisions happened within minutes of each other

Update: Long Sutton crash – police said the driver of the van was taken to hospital in Kings Lynn with serious injuries. The car driver was taken by ambucopter to Addenbrooke’s Hospital with serious injuries.


Two male drivers were injured in one of two crashes in the Spalding area on Thursday morning.

Roads are closed in two parts of the town after the crashes, which happened within minutes of each other.

First crash

Lincolnshire Police were called to a collision involving a car and a van on Gedney Road in Long Sutton, Spalding at 6.07am on Thursday, September 19.

Roads are closed in the area and police are advising people to find alternative routes if possible.

Second crash

Police are also currently dealing with a non-serious collision involving a car and a tractor in a village five miles east from the centre of Spalding.

The crash involving a car and a tractor on High Road, Moulton was reported to police at 6.22am on Thursday. Police said the road is currently blocked.
