Man’s jaw broken in violent Lincoln assault

Police are appealing for witnesses

A man in his 50s suffered a broken jaw when he was knocked to the floor during an alleged serious assault in the West Parade area of Lincoln.

The man was walking along West Parade, in between Hungate and Beaumont Fee, at around 2.20am on Sunday, September 22 when he was approached by a group of people.

An argument took place which was followed by violence. During the altercation he was knocked to the floor and he suffered a broken jaw, as well as other injuries.

Police are investigating the incident and want to hear from anyone who has information that could assist with their enquiry.
