Man charged over Lincoln stabbing

Victim recovering in hospital

A 53-year-old man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent after a stabbing in Lincoln on Friday evening.

Kerry Fletcher, of no fixed address, was arrested shortly after the incident in St Benedict’s Square, where a man in his 50s was found with stab wounds.

The injured man was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, with injuries which were not life-threatening.

Fletcher, who was also charged with criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon, is due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 14.
