Flooding closes Donna Nook car park ‘until further notice’

The Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust has asked people not to visit the seals

Flooding and persistent rain has forced Donna Nook nature reserve to close off its car park until “further notice.”

The Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust has asked people not to visit the seals whilst the car park is flooded and said it would release an update as soon as possible.

So far this season, the Donna Nook Warden counted 489 bulls, 1,629 cows and 1,554 seal pups on November 22.

Flooding is causing major problems.

As previously reported, a nature photographer hit out at litter louts after he saw one of the seal pups chewing on a bottle.

Dan Thurling believes that it’s a privilege to see the seals on the North Lincolnshire coast but has fears about the impact of visitors.
