Here we go again! Warning issued for 20 hours of rain in and around Lincoln

The Met Office has issued a weather warning for 20 hours of persistent rain, possible flooding and disruption in Lincoln and the surrounding areas.

The yellow-grade warning is in place from 4am on Saturday, November 23 to 11.59pm.

Forecasters have warned people to prepare for possible flooding of a few homes and businesses, disruption to travel services, flooding on the roads and some interruption to power supplies.

The current warning issued by the Met Office

“Following a spell of rain later on Friday, more persistent rain will arrive from the south early on Saturday morning and last through most of the day.

“The rain will be heavy at times, especially on hills. 15 to 20mm is likely to fall quite widely, with 40 to 50mm possible over high ground.

“The rain will slowly ease and then clear from the south on Saturday evening.”
