Ten flood warnings have been issued, meaning flooding is expected and immediate action is required in those areas. In addition, 23 flood alerts are in place where flooding is possible.
A yellow weather warning for rain, covering areas including Lincoln, was put out by the Met Office. It is due to remain in place until 10pm on Thursday, November 14.

Met Office guidance
The Met Office has issued the following guidance for what to expect during the weather warning:
Further homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings
Fast flowing or deep floodwater is possible, causing a danger to life
Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
Some communities may be cut off by flooded roads
Delays or cancellations to train and bus services are possible
Possible power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses
A spokesperson for the Environment Agency said: “Further heavy rain is expected today across the east of the country, which may lead to further flooding impacts as it will be falling on ground that is saturated and rivers that are full.
“Our incident room remains open 24 hours a day and we are monitoring weather conditions, river flows, and our defences including flood storage reservoirs very closely.
“These reservoirs helped protect thousands of homes and businesses across Lincoln, Market Rasen, Louth and Horncastle through recent wet weather and we have been slowly emptying them so there’s capacity to use them to hold excess water through this next period of rainfall.
“It’s urgent that people check their flood risk and sign up for alerts and warnings so they get early notice if flooding is expected. Visit www.gov.uk/flood or call 0345 988 1188 and stay tuned to local media for updates.”
