A man who ‘grossly abused his position of trust’ as a sports coach, sexually abusing five teenage boys, was found guilty of a catalogue of historic sexual offences and jailed for 30 years.
Dylan Lamb, 72, of Queens Court, Scawby, North Lincolnshire, was found guilty of guilty of the following offences: eleven counts of indecent assault, five counts of indecency with a child and five counts of other additional sexual offences. The victims were all aged between 13 and 17, or below, when the abuse occurred.

A 45-year-old man from Grimsby has been jailed for life over the murder of Shaun Lyall in Cleethorpes.
Craig Whittle, of Corporation Road in Grimsby, murdered Shaun, 47, at a house on Sidney Street on July 17, 2018. Whittle also pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice in connection with the murder, as well as possession of a knife and drugs with intent to supply.

A teenage boy who carried out two terrifying sex attacks on women within hours of each other was given a 12-year sentence at Lincoln Crown Court.
The 17 year-old, who cannot be identified because of a court order, followed his first victim through the Sincil Bank area of Lincoln and then attacked her when she reached St Botolph’s Court off the High Street. The victim managed to get into a sheltered housing scheme and the boy then cycled off. However, five hours later he attacked and raped a 27-year-old woman who was walking on the South Common.
A 19-year-old man has been sentenced to nine years in prison after he pleaded guilty to the unprovoked stabbing of a man in Cleethorpes.
Stuart Black, of Manchester Street in Cleethorpes, stabbed a man in the abdomen on Sunday, May 12. Humberside Police were called to reports of a stabbing on the High Street before paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital with serious injuries.

A knife wielding man carried out a stabbing in Lincoln after being invited inside the home of his victim.
Victim Nathan Wilson, 40, was returning to his home in Knight Place, Lincoln, after visiting a nearby food bank, when he was followed by his attacker Darren Murdoch. Murdoch, 53, of Ellison Street, Lincoln subbed the vicim in his own kitchen. He was jailed for a total of five years and eight months.
A 51-year-old man has been jailed for a vicious attack on another man in Immingham.
Mark Roper, of Hadleigh Road, was sent to prison for five and a half years despite pleading not guilty to the attack from October 2017. Roper argued with his victim at first before attacking him and leaving him with serious injuries including a broken kneecap and tooth.

John Anthony Hall, 56, who has lived at St Giles Avenue in Sleaford, has been jailed for four and a half years for sexual and indecent assaults in Lincolnshire and Warwickshire, including touching a teenage babysitter under her clothes.

A Lincolnshire man who requested sexual pictures from three under-age girls after pretending to be a teenage boy was jailed for three years and eight months.
Francis Mowday, 27, of Carlton Park, Manby, had previously pleaded guilty to five charges of causing a child to engage in sexual activity involving three different girls aged 12, 13 and 14 on dates between February 1 and September 7, 2017. He also admitted a single charge of sexual communication with a child and three charges of making a total of 459 indecent images of a child.

A man who carried out a violent attack on his girlfriend after a night out in Skegness was jailed for 33 months.
Brandon Fettis, 21, repeatedly punched and kicked his partner, and claimed he would take her hostage if the police were called to the property in Alford. He also bit the woman’s lip and stamped on her.
A Boston man who, armed with a machete, lashed out at police officers and traumatised a mother with her children has been jailed for two years.
Przemyslaw Kuziel was approached by police officers following reports of an incident in Field Street in the town where he was discovered in the back garden of a family home. Kuziel stabbed the children’s football and when he was challenged threatened to kill members of the family.

A lorry driver who caused a fatal crash, in which a charity worker was killed and her colleague left with life-changing injuries, was jailed for 16 months at Lincoln Crown Court.
Dorin-Silviu Buinea was driving along the A52 heading for his firm’s depot at Donington when he struck a lorry from behind as the other vehicle waited to turn right. Buinea’s lorry then went into the path of a car driven by Dawn Crisp in which her work colleague Katie Ablewhite was a passenger. Ablewhite was taken to hospital, but never regained consciousness before her life support machine was later switched off.

A gang stole over £17,000 worth of mobile phones after targeting a city shop. The four-man gang walked into the Carphone Warehouse store on the Valentine Retail Park on Tritton Road in Lincoln, and brazenly stripped phones from the displays.
The gang made off with their haul but one of the men left blood at the scene from a cut. He was identified from DNA as Leonard Dobre but managed to evade police for over a year before he was arrested last month when he arrived at John Lennon Airport, Liverpool, on a flight from Bucharest. He was later jailed for 16 months.

A man who was given a chance by a judge after attempting to hold up a convenience store has been jailed after he failed to turn up for drug appointments.
Matthew Dobbyn was given a suspended jail sentence back in April for the attempted robbery of the Premier Store on Newport in Lincoln. Since then he failed on four occasions to turn up for appointments with the substance misuse agency Addaction. He was sent to prison for nine months.

An inmate walked out of North Sea Camp open prison because he was fed up waiting to hear when he will be released, Lincoln Crown Court was told.
Nicholas Burnett received an indeterminate sentence for public protection when he was jailed at Taunton Crown Court back in December 2007. Burnett was told he would serve a minimum of three and a half years in custody but 12 years later he was still in jail waiting to be told when he would be freed.

A 34-year-old man was jailed for three months after breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order to commit more thefts in Grimsby.
John Cooper, of no fixed abode, received a CBO after a series of shop thefts in Grimsby, which prevented him from coming into the town centre. He ignored the conditions on a number of occasions and also started to re-offend. He was sentenced to three months in prison.
