Elderly man injured and robbed at cemetery in Cleethorpes

A 67-year-old man suffered facial injuries during an alleged assault and robbery at a cemetery in Cleethorpes.

The man’s false teeth were also broken during the incident, which happened as the victim was walking through the cemetery in the direction of Curzon Avenue just after 8pm on Thursday, December 12.

The two male suspects also pulled the man’s glasses and woolly hat off him. A quantity of cash and other items were stolen.

Humberside Police released an image of two suspects they are looking for in connection with the assault and robbery.

Enquiries are continuing and police are also appealing for witnesses.
