Fancy a cuppa? Lincoln cafe owner relocates

A new business move for the Lincoln cafe owner

A Lincoln businesswoman is looking ahead to a bright future after relocating her cafe into a shopping centre in North Hykeham.

Local caterer Jo Hart has been running Harty’s Cafe within a city discount warehouse on Greetwell Road for nearly five years.

After her lease came to an end, Jo moved her cafe into “stand alone” premises at the Hykeham Green Shopping Centre in North Hykeham, which opened on December 10.

The cafe will initially be open Mondays to Saturdays from 9am to 4pm.

Jo said: “My new premises are ideal because there is on-site parking and the potential to attract footfall from people visiting nearby businesses.

“I am still calling my business Harty’s Café and I am initially opening from 9am to 4pm, from Mondays to Saturdays. I am also keeping my same menu, with its popular hot and cold choices, including specials for OAPs.”

Lincoln-based chartered surveyor Banks Long & Co leased Jo’s new premises on behalf of its client Lincolnshire Co-op.

Lewis Cove, Banks Long & Co Associate, said: “The Hykeham Green development attracts good footfall, because the development includes a food store, pharmacy, a doctors’ surgery and veterinary surgery. We wish Jo much success at her new location.”
