Update: Police confirmed on Wednesday afternoon that Richard has been found and is safe and well.
A vulnerable 50-year-old man from Spilsby has been missing for 48 hours and police are extremely concerned about him.
Richard Mason was reported missing from his Spilsby home in Lincolnshire on December 9 and it is believed he may panic if approached directly.
Lincolnshire Police believe he may have been in Cirencester in Gloucestershire during the morning of Wednesday, December 11, so the force is also seeking help with their appeal in this area.
Richard is described as white, six foot six inches tall, with dark grey, short hair. Police said he may be wearing an olive green bomber jacket and appear unshaven.
They believe he will have his black Labrador dog with him and may be using a black Ford Fiesta with the registration KV06UAL.
Police said: “Richard is feeling vulnerable and may panic if approached directly so please report sightings to police rather than seeking to engage him.”

Seeing family, being cosy by the fire, and fun in the snow, contrasted with dark mornings and cold weather, are among the most loved — and hated — things about winter for people in Lincoln.
New research shows that 81% of people admitted they hate the winter season. According to a poll of 2,000 by the Post Office, dark mornings (49%), slipping on ice (44%), and having a cold face (41%), runny nose (38%), and paying the heating bills (34%) are considered the worst things about winter.
