Lincoln backpacker, 21, dies falling from cliff in Australia

Friends of the young model said she was “beautiful inside and out”

A 21-year-old backpacker from Lincoln fell to her death from a cliff at a popular tourist spot in Australia.

Madalyn Davis travelled to Australia at the end of last year and planned to start a new life there before she died on Sunday morning.

Friends of the young model said she was “beautiful inside and out” and said she was tragically “taken too soon.”

She had been partying with friends just hours before she went to the nearby Diamond Bay Cliffs at around 6.30am to watch the sunrise.

One concerned family member wrote online that she was unable to get hold of her before another confirmed that Madalyn had died.

Friends have paid tribute to Madalyn.

Another friend added: “Madalyn Davis you will be missed so much you were always the life of any party and could make anyone smile.

“An absolute joy to party with, someone who brought smiles and laughter to everything we did, and someone that has left us way too soon.

“Life is so cruel and unfair sometimes man. Do not take it for granted and live every second like it’s your last. Rest easy princess. You are forever loved and missed in our hearts.”

A second friend said: “Rest in peace Madalyn Davis, it was a pleasure to have known you. Shocked to say the least! Condolences to the whole family.”

Emergency services went to Diamond Bay to reports a woman had fallen off a cliff before launching an air and water search.

Madalyn’s body was found by the search teams at around 10.30am on Saturday.
