Van crashes into ambulance dealing with Barton-Upon-Humber pile-up

The ambulance crew were attending a four-car crash in the area

A van driver crashed into an ambulance which was already dealing with a four-car collision in Barton-Upon-Humber.

Lincolnshire Police said that the A1077 Ferriby Road was blocked up after the two separate crashes on the morning of Wednesday, January 8.

The first crash from around 6.50am involved a black BMW, grey Volkswagen Touran, a white Vauxhall Astra and a silver Vauxhall Meriva.

Nobody was injured in either crash and the ambulance only attended the first collision as a precaution, but the road is blocked at the time of publishing.
