Developers propose 45 more homes for former Barnetby pub site

It was demolished two years ago

Some 45 more homes are lined up for the site of a former village pub in North Lincolnshire.

Plans have been lodged to North Lincolnshire Council to build on the site of the Railway Inn, Barnetby.

The pub, which dated back to the 19th century, was demolished in 2018 in order to make way for new homes.

Plans for seven semi-detached homes have already been approved for the site.

Now, Sydney Homes Ltd have proposed to build a further 45 homes on the Kings Road development.

The plan would complete the third phase of housing on the site.

The company said in its plans to the council that the proposal would help with a shortfall in homes.

It said: “The redevelopment of this sustainably located site would assist in providing homes within the area as there is currently a shortfall in housing supply within the region, despite the council stating they have a five year housing supply.”

North Lincolnshire Council will make a decision on the plan at a later date.
