E-fit released as police hunt for man who wiped substance on Scunthorpe teen’s face

Police have released an e-fit of a man as they continue their investigation into an assault on a teenage girl in Scunthorpe, during which the attacker allegedly wiped a substance on her face.

A short CCTV video has also been released showing a man in a cap walking along the pavement, who Humberside Police are keen to speak to in connection with a reported incident involving a 16-year-old girl on Foxhills Road in Scunthorpe on Tuesday, January 28.

A man is alleged to have inappropriately touched the young girl before wiping a substance on her face.

After the incident, the girl screamed and the man ran from the area, in the direction of Reginald Road. She was not injured, but was left incredibly shaken and distressed, and received support from specially trained officers.

Extra police patrols were also put in place in the Ferry Road area of Scunthorpe after the incident.
