Finnish entrepreneur ready to open pre-loved Lincoln shop

She already has a shop selling handmade items

A Finnish business woman with a “love for Lincoln” will open her second shop on Burton Road later this month, selling pre-loved second-hand items and vintage accessories.

Pirjo Holtta, who is originally from Finland, already has a business called With Love From Lincolnshire, which has been selling authentic, different, personal and lovingly handmade items produced by crafters, makers and artists for nearly seven years.

She is now preparing to open a new sister business ‘Pre-Loved from Lincolnshire’ at 173 Burton Road on February 29. It will provide an outlet for locals to sell their good quality second-hand items, clothing, vintage accessories, household toys, media and kitchenalia.

A launch party will be held the day before between 6pm-8pm for anyone who wants to be the first to look around the newly fitted shop.

Pirjo, who’s visited and lived in Lincoln since 1999, said: “So many of us have bought items that no longer fit, don’t go with the colour scheme or just aren’t used in our homes anymore.

“We will have spent our hard earned money to buy these items in the first place and so it would be nice to see them rehomed and reused and to make a few pounds back at the same time. My aim is to create a local, sustainable and environmentally friendly community based outlet”.

Units are available to rent on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. Sellers will price the items themselves, there’s no commission, and all the money realised will be paid back to the seller.
