Third murder arrest after police find body in Boston drain

The victim died after a sustained assault before his body was disposed of in the waterway

Police investigating the death of a Boston man have arrested a third person on suspicion of his murder.

Lincolnshire Police carried out three warrants at properties in the town on Wednesday morning and arrested a 27-year-old man.

Marcin Stolarek, who was 41 and originally from Poland, was found in the South Forty Foot Drain on Chain Bridge Road, Boston, on Sunday, January 12.

As previously reported, it is believed the victim died as a result of a sustained assault before his body was then disposed of in the waterway.

Two other people, Adam Kaminski and Justyna Swiatek both aged 26 and of Union Court, Boston, are both accused of murdering Marcin Stolarek.

Adam Maksajda, 33, of no fixed address, was also charged with perverting the course of justice in relation to the murder.

Kaminski, Swiatek, and Maksajda have all already been in Lincoln Magistrates’ Court with a trial date set for June 29.

Lincolnshire Police previously said the victim is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 11 to 13 stone, has size nine feet, a nine-centimetre scar under his chin, a fading tribal tattoo on his right shoulder and has had dental work to the top row of his teeth. The man was also found wearing blue New Balance trainers, Puma jogging bottoms and a Fishbone branded T-shirt.
