Third murder charge after police find body in Boston drain

The investigation continues

Marcin Stolarek was found dead in Boston on January 12, 2020.

A 27-year-old man has become the third person to be charged in connection with the death of Marcin Stolarek in Boston.

Two people, Adam Kaminski and Justyna Swiatek, both aged 26 and of Union Court in Boston, were both previously charged in connection with the murder.

Lukasz Ferenc, of Windsor Bank, Boston, was charged with murder on Friday, February 7 and is due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Saturday. He was previously arrested when police executed three warrants in the town on Wednesday.

Marcin Stolarek, who was 41 and originally from Poland, was found in the South Forty Foot Drain on Chain Bridge Road in Boston on Sunday, January 12. It is believed the victim died as a result of a sustained assault before his body was then disposed of in the waterway.

A murder investigation was later launched after the discovery of the body.

In addition to the other three people charged, Adam Maksajda, 33, of no fixed address, was charged with perverting the course of justice.

Detective Chief Inspector Karl Whiffen, who is leading the investigation, said: “I’d like to thank members of the public for the support they have given since we launched this investigation.

“Our officers, including forensics teams, have been in Boston this week as we continue to gather evidence.

“I’d like to appeal once more to anyone who has information about Marcin to get in touch, as even the smallest detail could prove crucial.”
