Found: Dementia patient goes missing from Lincoln hospital

She could still be in the area

An elderly patient with dementia has gone missing from Lincoln County Hospital.

Update: Mavis has now been found. The police said: “Thank you to the public and press for your support in relation to this appeal. In this lady’s case, we had people organising local search parties. This is an incredibly generous offer but actually not unusual in our county. We are very grateful for the help, cooperation and information.”

Mavis Lambert was last seen at the hospital on Thursday, March 5 at around 8.30am.

Lincolnshire Police said in its missing persons appeal that the force was very concerned for her welfare.

It is not believed she is able to walk very far, so could still be close to the hospital.

She is five feet two inches and of a slim build. Mavis was wearing a pink and purple jumper as well as a beige trench coat.

Anyone with information should call 101 and quote reference 86 of March 5.
