Firefighters tackle blaze at Ingoldmells pub

Dramatic pictures from the scene show the pub engulfed in smoke

Firefighters are tackling a blaze at a pub in Ingoldmells, which reportedly started in the flat upstairs.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue has cordoned off the surrounding area of the Cherry Tree pub, just off Skegness Road.

Pictures from the scene, taken at about 12 noon, show that the roof of the pub was engulfed in white smoke.

The fire service has asked people to avoid the area and close doors and windows if they live or work nearby.

Cherry Tree Pub was set to reopen this weekend after a refurbishment.
