Grimsby domestic abuser jailed for more than two years

A Grimsby man accused of assaulting a woman and breaching a restraining order has been jailed for 26 months.

Daniel Taylor of Heneage Road, Grimsby appeared at Grimsby Crown Court on March 6, accused of offences in February 2020.

He had pleaded guilty at Grimsby Magistrates’ Court previously.

DI Kelly of Grimsby CID said: “Jailing Daniel Taylor will send a message to anyone who thinks they can get away with abuse of this type.

“Daniel Taylor will now have time to consider his actions against his vulnerable victim.

“Tackling domestic abuse is a top priority. If you are a victim of domestic abuse or are in a controlling relationship, or you know someone who is – please call us on 101 or in an emergency 999.

“We will listen, we will act, we will help you.”
