Coronavirus deaths pass 100 in Greater Lincolnshire

New deaths announced

More than 100 people who tested positive for coronavirus in Greater Lincolnshire have died in the county’s hospitals.

Three have been announced at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust and one at United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust.

It means the death toll in the county has now increased to 101.

70 people have died in ULHT hospitals, while 31 fataltiies have been recorded at NLaG.

A spokesperson for ULHT said: “Sadly we can confirm that one further patient who was being cared for in one of our hospitals and had tested positive for COVID-19, has died.

“The patient was a woman aged 80. She had underlying health conditions.

“Her family has been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time.”

NHS England said a further 738 people have died after testing positive for COVID-19.

Patients were aged between 32 and 101 years old, 30 of them had no known underlying health condition.

The UK-wide death toll now stands at 14,576, an increase of 847.
