New deaths announced by NHS England

More coronavirus fatalities have been confirmed in Greater Lincolnshire’s hospitals as the death toll reached 90.

Four further deaths have been recorded at both United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust and Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust.

Three patients died in the ULHT run hospitals, while one was confirmed at NLaG.

A spokesperson for ULHT said: “Sadly we can confirm that three further patients who were being cared for in our hospitals, and had tested positive for COVID-19, have died.

“The patients were two men aged 82 and 88, and one woman aged 79. All had underlying health conditions.

“Their families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time.”

It means the death toll in Lincolnshire has increased to 65 and stands at 25 in northern Lincolnshire.

Meanwhile, NHS England said a further 651 people who tested positive for coronavirus died across the country.

Patients were aged between 20 and 101 years old, 20 of them had no known underlying health conditions.
