Dog attacks woman and bites her face in Grantham

The woman required stitches

A woman required stitches after being bitten in the face by a dog in Grantham.

The woman in her 30s was walking along Harrow Street near to the River Witham at the back of Sainsbury’s at around 6.30am on Saturday, May 16.

She was approached by a large black dog that did not appear to be with anyone, which bit her face. As a result, the woman suffered multiple lacerations on her face that required stitches.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for information and witnesses, and would also like to hear from anyone who knows who the dog in the reported incident belongs to.
