One Lincolnshire Subway open as UK stores return

Subway has re-opened! But there’s just one place in Lincolnshire so far

By Local Democracy Reporter

Fast food sandwich chain Subway has announced the re-opening of over 600 of its stores, but only one of those is in Lincolnshire.

People looking for a Subway fix in the county can find one inside a Spar convenience store on Bradley Cross in Grimsby.

Subway closed all stores across the country in March amid coronavirus lockdown, and is now planning a phased reopening for takeaways.

It will be offering free delivery on orders above £10 placed through Deliveroo, JustEat or Uber Eats.

Government guidelines on social distancing have been implemented to protect customers and staff, including directional signage and PPE equipment.

It is as yet unclear when the rest of the county’s 35 stores will re-open.

Also, as part of a new support scheme for key workers, Subway is offering 25% off orders for NHS staff.
