Car driver ‘punched in the face’ by cyclist

Police are appealing for witnesses

A cyclist allegedly punched a car driver in the face during a theft incident in Spalding.

A male wearing all red cycling gear and helmet rode a bicycle towards the victim’s car, which was turning into Lidl on Holbeach Road at around 3.45pm on Sunday, May 24.

The cyclist approached the driver’s window before punching him in the face and taking his car keys. The cyclist then left the area.

Police published an appeal for witnesses to the reported assault and theft on Saturday, June 13.

Anyone with information, or who saw the incident, should contact Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident 213 of May 24.
