Lincoln steampunk festival cancelled due to coronavirus

The popular event will return in 2021

The popular annual steampunk festival in Lincoln has been cancelled due to the ongoing impact of the coronavirus crisis.

The event due to take place in August attracts visitors from across the globe.

In a statement the organisers said that “the only sensible course of action at this point is postponement”.

The event is hoping to return in 2021

The statement said: “The pandemic has had a profound effect upon the whole planet. Our small festival is only a footnote in the massive disruption and huge loss of life so we are sure you will understand why we have made this decision.”
