A man and his dog have been left injured after being hit by separate vehicles in a bizarre incident on the A17.

At around 10.14pm on Thursday, a BMW car crashed into a man in his 40s who was walking his dog on the A17 Fulbeck Heath, near Grantham.

After the crash, a lorry then hit the injured man’s dog and failed to stop at the scene.

The pedestrian remains in hospital with serious injuries, while the dog was taken to the vets with minor injuries.

Lincolnshire Police want to speak to the lorry driver from the incident, as well as any witnesses of the hit and run.
